With 48,916 new positive cases of coronavirus and 757 deaths in the last 24 hours, the total number of Covid-19  patients in India has mounted to 13,36,861, while the death toll rose to 31,358, as per the latest data by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday morning.

Of the total cases, 8,49,431 have been successfully treated while one case has been migrated from the country. There are 4,56,071 active cases of Covid-19 in India.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) today informed that the total number of samples tested up to June 27 is 1,58,49,068 of which 4,20,898 samples were tested on Friday.

Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected by the coronavirus outbreak in the country with Covid-19 tally more than 3.5 lakh cases. The total number of positive cases in the state has climbed to 3,57,117 and 13,132 deaths, according to the Union Health Ministry. 

Tamil Nadu has become the second-worst hit in the country with nearly two lakh Covid-19 cases and 3,320 deaths. Delhi is placed at the third spot having reported 1,28,389 confirmed cases and 3,777 deaths, followed by Karnataka (85,870 cases, published,724 deaths) and Andhra Pradesh (80,858 cases and 933 deaths).
